What is Onboarding?

Onboarding is the first step to get you and your co-owner(s) setup on Co-ownerOS™.

How does it work?

The first co-owner to sign up answers a few questions, creates a group, and invites other co-owner(s) to join.

💡 Only one co-owner should create a group. If you receive an email invite, join your group and create an account by clicking on the link provided.

  • After all co-owners have created an account, you'll be asked to verify your identities.

  • After all co-owners have passed ID verification, you'll be asked to subscribe. One co-owner pays the subscription on behalf of the group.

  • After your group has subscribed, you're ready to co-create your Co-ownership Agreement in Governance.

How long does it take?

Onboarding can easily be completed in 5-10 minutes if all co-owners are ready with a smart phone.

What do I need?

  • Phone or tablet with the camera enabled

  • Address of your co-owned property

  • Closing date of your property purchase

  • Valid U.S. Government ID (i.e. driver's license, passport)

💡 Tips

To breeze through Onboarding...

  • Use a mobile phone for best results

  • Enable cookies on your browser

  • Avoid incognito mode

  • Disable ad-blockers (no ads, ever!)

  • Use separate devices for each co-owner or log out between sessions if you're sharing a device

  • Make sure all co-owners enter the same closing date for your home purchase

  • If you've been invited to the app by your co-owner, use the same email to which you received the invite--you can change it later!
